Tell Me Something Good
Our First show, And Then There Were None, was received so well, that we weren't quite sure it was even real! The cast had never done a black box show in the way that Mrs. Sheldrake had, so it was a different experience. The set looked and felt like a real home. The cast ate real food, and used the set as a home with doors and windows and bookshelves that worked as they should. There was a bookshelf that was a hidden door and it made the set a great mystery!
We had some special guests come to see our show in addition to our fantastic parents and staff members who were all out to support us.

OK, who substituted student actors with the professional actors my wife and I enjoyed Saturday night?
Seriously, every one of the actors performed far beyond normal high school casts. Every actor's face, smile and movements were focused on the audience every minute!
We heard every word that was spoken or sung, everyone knew their lines, there were no awkward moments or delays, just a stage filled with fabulous dancing, funny Seuss-like dialogue and great coordination constantly!
The actors kept us engaged, laughing and happy. What skilled, precision dance numbers! I can't single any one person out because everyone performed their hearts out. EVERYONE!
That show should've been seen everyone in Murrieta!

Good evening Jeni,
I wanted to let you know how impressed I was with your first performance at MVHS. I attended the matinee on Saturday and was pleasantly surprised by the professionalism of the cast and the beautiful, intimate staging of the production.
"And Then There Were None" is one of the best high school plays I have ever seen. The acting was incredible. The chemistry between Joshua Lane and Sarah Gamble was as professional as any theatre in town. It was obvious to me that you have spent many hours on character development. Thank you for recognizing the importance of breathing life into a character. I truly appreciated it. I also applaud the courage of your cast. Performing such an intense play in a black box theatre can be challenging for young actors. Yet, your cast rose to the occasion. They stayed in character throughout the performance in spite of the proximity to the audience. I felt as if I was a fly on the wall. I loved it!
Now, let's talk about your set. AMAZING! Loved the attention to details! The props, furniture, mantle of soldiers, French doors, and bookcase added to the fluidity of the play.
Congratulations on a truly remarkable production. I enjoyed every minute! I look forward to your next production.
